 "We
rented this villa from Sandy for the first 2 weeks in September 2007.
This was the seventh time in 12 years that we had travelled out to
Florida so we knew the area quite well, and we do love the beach at
Manasota Key so we are a bit biased about the location. This property is
absolutely wonderful, the photographs that are posted do not do justice
to the house, it is beautiful. Sandy has taken a lot of care and spared
no expense in furnishing and equipping the property , everything in the
house was spotlessly clean. There was absolutely nothing about this
rental that in anyway disappointed any of our party. This is not just a
rental property, this an M&S rental property (to borrow a catch
phrase!).
The beaches at Englewood and
Manasota Key are out of this world, particularly as the sun goes down.
There are numerous restaurants, we found a great Thai in a block of
shops at the US 41 fork going north, but there are loads within a few
miles.
The funny thing is writing
this has made me want to go back this year... my advice to anyone is if
you are considering renting this property and it is available then book
it, you will love it !"
"We
recently stayed at this villa for 3wks and it is by far
the best villa we have ever rented. The standard of
decor and cleanliness is excellent, Sandy has thought of
everything to make guests feel very welcome. The
management is very organised while still retaining that
little personal touch. The oversized lanai and pool area
proved invaluable for our son, he really appreciated all
the pool and beach toys. The bicycles were also a
pleasant surprise. All in all, we had everything we
could have ever wanted (and more!) The location couldn't
be better, it took us only 3 mins to cycle to the
fabulous child friendly beach and there were lots of
shops and restaurants nearby. One of our highlights of
the holiday was taking part in the turtle watch and
seeing these tiny creatures being released into the
ocean. Thank you for sharing your fabulous villa with us."
 I
agree with all the comments already made. We stayed one
week with our 2 21 year olds in a villa in Orlando and
were very happy. Then we went to the Storrs and were
overwhelmed. What a beautiful setting and the villa is
so comprehensively equipped. The pool area is superb and
we spent much time relaxing on the loungers watching the
eagles circling overhead and the wild tortoises walking
slowly through the yard. The nearby beach was beautiful
and so quiet. Again we relaxed and watched the pelicans
flying by and shared many a glass of wine watching the
sunset. The ultimate relaxing vacation for us and the
kids appreciated the giant TV and all the pool toys. We
can't wait to go back. For at least 2 weeks this time.
We were having such a good time we didn't get a chance
to visit all the other attractions this time. Yes it did
rain some days but in no way did this detract from the
holiday. Usually all over in 15 mins or so.
What a marvelous holiday in a superb villa in a tranquil
setting and yet close to all amenities and services.
Having enjoyed many holidays in the USA it is easy to
become blase about the quality of American homes. This
villa surpassed all of my high expectations. I could wax
lyrical, but suffice to say I shall be returning again
and again.
Peace and
relaxation must best describe this beautiful villa and
its wonderful surroundings. In the boom of estate after
estate of villas how refreshing it was to find one so
unique and tucked away like a little bit of paradise.
The Storrs had it equipped with everything you could
need and the second sitting room gives everyone space.
The pool is outstanding and the loungers the most
comfortable I had ever encountered. (As my gentle
snoring showed most afternoons) The area is quiet and
not over done but has easy access to tourist sites.
Despite terror alerts we were able to come back fully
charged and ready for British weather. If you want a
nice night out the Gulf Grill at the Englewood end of
the key is very good.
 My
family had a wonderful stay at your Villa, and we are
looking forward to a return visit. The Villa was very
spacious, comfortable, and welcoming. It allowed us to
feel "at home" and to relax. The kitchen was well
equipped, and everything needed for an enjoyable stay
was provided. The pool at the Villa was wonderful, with
none of the eye irritation commonly found with other
water treatment systems (even after swimming as many as
7 times in one day!). The trip highlights included
visits to the Mote Aquarium in Sarasota, finding
fossilized sharks teeth at Manasota beach, seeing
alligators at Myakka state park, and great Mexican food
at Compadres a few miles south in Englewood. After
several years of trips to the western U.S. for
"adventure" vacations, this was intended to be a
"relaxing" vacation for my wife and it met or exceeded
her expectations in every way. Thank you for opening
this wonderful Villa up to us.
We holidayed
at your villa with our friends and we had a fantastic
time and a really restful holiday the location was
great. This was our 2nd visit to the area but your villa
is top notch we will certainly be recommending to others
and who knows hopefully will visit again ourselves
before long.
Our stay at this villa was extremely relaxing. The
Storrs have thought of everything when planning the
layout and equipment to provide in the villa. The
location is perfect as it is only a short walk or cycle
ride to the beach, the best location we have found in
four visits to the Gulf Coast. I thoroughly recommend
this villa to anyone especially those looking to see
what else Florida has to offer other than Disney.
